1. Introduction

These Terms govern the use of the Van-Events.ca website, the services we offer, and the terms under which you book events with us. Please read these Terms carefully before making any bookings or using our services.
2. Services Provided
Van-Events.ca offers event planning services in British Columbia, Canada. Our services include, but are not limited to:
- Birthday Parties
- Weddings
- Store Openings
- Kids Events
- Christmas Parties
- Corporate Anniversaries
- Baby Showers
We provide a variety of services for each event type, such as decoration, photography, videography, DJs, catering, entertainment shows, and more. A detailed list of our services for each event type can be found on our website.
3. Booking and Payment
- Booking Process: To book our services, clients must submit a request via our website or contact us directly. A formal agreement will be provided once the booking is confirmed.
- Deposit: A 10% non-refundable deposit of the total service price is required to secure your booking. The deposit must be paid upon signing the contract. The deposit is non-refundable even if you cancel the event.
- Payment Methods: We accept payments via:
- E-transfer
- Cash
- PayPal
- Payment for Services: The remaining balance is due before or on the event day, as specified in the booking agreement.
4. Cancellations and Rescheduling
- Cancellations: If you cancel your event within 14 days of the event date, the 10% non-refundable deposit will be forfeited. Cancellation after this period may result in additional charges to cover costs already incurred by Van-Events.ca, including vendor fees and other expenses.
- Rescheduling: You may reschedule your event within 3 months of the original date. Rescheduling is subject to availability and approval from Van-Events.ca. If you reschedule within the allowed period, we will transfer your deposit to the new date. If the event is canceled entirely after rescheduling, the deposit remains non-refundable.
5. Client Responsibilities
- Accurate Information: Clients must provide accurate details regarding the event, including date, location, number of guests, and any specific requirements or requests. Failure to do so may result in additional fees or limitations in service.
- Event Access: The client must ensure that Van-Events.ca has access to the event venue as needed for setup and execution of services. The client must also inform us of any restrictions or requirements specific to the venue.
6. Limitation of Liability
Van-Events.ca is not responsible for any damages, injuries, or accidents that may occur during the event. This includes, but is not limited to, injuries caused by the actions of guests or third-party vendors. We are also not liable for any weather-related issues or external factors that may impact the event.
Our total liability for any event-related issues will be limited to the total amount paid for services rendered.
7. Third-Party Vendors
Van-Events.ca may work with third-party vendors (e.g., florists, photographers, entertainers, caterers, etc.) to provide the services for your event. While we ensure that we only work with reputable and professional vendors, Van-Events.ca is not responsible for the performance, actions, or omissions of these vendors.
Clients agree that they are responsible for liaising with vendors regarding their services. Any issues or disputes with third-party vendors should be resolved directly with the vendor.
8. Insurance and Liability
Van-Events.ca maintains insurance coverage to protect against damages or liability that might occur during an event. This includes accidents involving our own team members or equipment.
However, we are not responsible for damage to or loss of personal property during the event. Clients are encouraged to secure insurance for their personal property and any other concerns related to the event.
9. Use of Website Content
- Intellectual Property: All content, images, videos, logos, designs, and materials on the Van-Events.ca website are owned by Van-Events.ca or its partners and are protected by copyright laws. You are prohibited from using, copying, or distributing any website content without prior written consent from Van-Events.ca, except where explicitly stated.
- Client Photos: Clients are permitted to use photos of themselves and their guests at the event. However, photos taken by Van-Events.ca (e.g., professional photographs) that feature the event or our setup cannot be reused without our permission unless those photos contain no identifiable people.
- Website Usage: Our website is available for browsing without the need to log in. By using the website, you agree not to copy, reproduce, or use any part of the website for commercial purposes without obtaining prior written consent from Van-Events.ca.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.
